So I had this itch to listen to the old theme for the '80s show 'The Peoples Court', and tracked it down to here.

With all the random instrumental inserts and timing, I can't help but to think that's what playing a game of Phoenix Wright should sound like.

I found this to be a rather colorful book, covering the history of game design from a graphical point of view, as well as a slew of images near and dear to someone who pretty much grew up in tandem with the technology.

While it is interesting and offers many ideas and suggestions, as well as pointing out differences in pixel pushing over various platforms and other curious tidbits, I felt there was not enough actual meat to qualify it as either an instructional or a justified read.  All in all, it's great for gamer-friendly coffee table, and more than useful for inspiration and as an idea bank.
